A quick round-up.

I'm still alive! Still choosing to use my limitied internet time for dicking around, still not caught up on my flist yet ... I am bad, bad, bad. But I'm home this weekend to look after the animals while my parents are away, so I will fix that now!

Things that have happened in the 2 months since I was active here:
- Zorro went home to his owner to begin his retirement, just before we left for Oz. Ben wrote a lovely post about it here.
- Subsequently, Ben has got a new horse called Iris. She is super-sweet, super-smart, and drop dead gorgeous. Also, at a little over 16hh she's more of a Ben size of horse!
- Unfortunately, a few days after she arrived, I was putting her headcollar on - the farrier was coming to remove her shoes - when she spooked, leapt in the air and landed on my foot ... then refused to get off. Given that this was a week and a half ago, the fact that walking and wearing shoes are still not the most enjoyable activities, and that when I move my toes I feel something grinding further up in the foot ... I rather suspect I may have broken something. But I did, at least, get a good bruise out of it. I like bruises.
- Shortly after we got back from holiday, Ben and I woke at 5am to find that the water tank had broken and was cheerfully emptying itself into our living room via the light fitting. Luckily, we got it fixed and escaped with no worse than a few skanky stains on the ceiling and walls. Other than that, the flat is pretty awesome. :)
- Ben and I went on the Harry Potter Studio Tour with my friends Kala and Jen - it was AWESOME-O. I GOT TO DRINK BUTTERBEER. AND FLY A BROOMSTICK. Yessss.
- I found a sick crow, unable to fly, one wet and windy morning in the fields; so I took him home, and he turned out to be remarkably friendly. I had him perching on my arm and eating from my hand before I released him three days later. He was an awesome friend. <3
- Ben and I spent last weekend working with the Shires, at Woburn Country Fair. Ben was a knight - complete with his own chain mail and accessories, mounted on a caparisoned steed - and I was the squire. It was seriously fun.

Pepsi says hi, too. I think.
