100 Happy Days: Week One

I haven't forgotten about the 100 Happy Days meme; I started it, as intended, but then really struggled to get a daily picture. Unlike the 365 Project where I can take a photo of whatever I like, I found it ridiculously hard to make sure I got an image of the things that made me happy - and it was difficult to make them good photos, too. I also struggled to make time for it, as I can't really be carrying my camera around and taking random pictures all day ... I have work to do. So I got grumpy about it and started missing days.

Then a Facebook friend started sharing #100happydays photos and, well, I guess I got competitive. I also realised it's pretty sad to claim that I don't have time to take photos of anything happy.

I've been uploading daily to my FB account, but I've decided to do weekly posts here as well. Here are the happy moments from Week One. :)
Beautiful weather, a good day at work, and my gorgeous, gorgeous commute. I love this hill.

Ottoman! Love this horse, even when he's being a very silly boy. ETA: on this ride we also came across the smallest, fattest baby rabbit I have ever seen. It reminded me of Pipkin from Watership Down, and Otto and I waited patiently while it tried to jump up a bank.

Ben visited me at work for an hour or so this afternoon, which was awesome. :) Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of that, so here's a picture from another happy point in the day - taking the quad bike to check on the babies. I loooove riding the quad. Sweet baby horses are pretty cool, too.

A nice day off in London today, looking at awesome Viking artifacts with Ben (these are weights, made by nicking Anglo-Saxon jewelry and filling them with lead).

Pip the cat really wanted my burger. He kept reaching out with his paw in slow motion, then withdrawing it quickly and washing himself. Later, we ate cake. :)

Otto again. He was a sweetheart today - we had a mutual grooming session followed by a really chilled ride - and I even forgive him for galloping up the field at bringing in time, leaning over the gate and coughing a gobful of partially chewed grass all over my shirt.

Lovely pictures!
Is there a way I could add you on FB or do you want to keep these things separated? Just asking because I know a lot of people who use LJ for fandom stuff and FB for real life, and they do not want those to mix.
