A walk in the woods.

So, I am back in England - I got back almost a week ago, but I've been super busy. And I still haven't uploaded all my Renaissance Fair photos (I've done Saturday's ones - all 75 of them! Just Sunday to go).

It was an extra long journey because we were slightly delayed leaving Detroit (Obama's fault), and then delayed leaving Toronto by 2 hours because the incoming flight had had to land somewhere else due to a medical emergency on board. Then when I landed in London, my suitcase had not made it with me. :P

Air Canada are awesome and sorted everything out for me; thanks to the guy at Heathrow, who helped me sort it all out (I was very tired by this point and eeevveeerr so slighly over-emotional). They found my case, flew it to London, then drove it to my house. Free of charge!

Gratitude also goes to glenatron, who picked me up from the airport despite being ill. I thanked him by waking suddenly the following morning and punching him in the face.

I worked at Sacrewell Farm on Saturday with the Shires, then went down south to visit glenatron. He tried teaching me to lasso things - I'm terrible at it, but I really enjoyed it and it's definately a skill I would like to learn. Not to do anything useful with - I don't envision myself roping cattle in the future. But it would be a cool thing to be able to do. :P

A Renaissance Fair post will be coming soon. For now, a couple of pictures from this weekend:

It's walks like this that are the reason why I always come back from glenatron's with my brain bursting with story scenes.

glenatron performing some arcane ritual. Or photographing a weird tree. I prefer the former...

I am the world's worst cowgirl. :P I got some photos of glenatron being much more competent, but he hasn't put any online yet...

LOVE that forest picture. :3

I'd love to learn to. My mother used to do rodeo things. I should have asked her to teach me before she hurt her shoulder. :(
