The adventures of Loki.

Here is the poignant yet pointless story of Loki's day. Loki is my cat, by the way. One of them. She's usually very aloof and self-sufficient, but occassionally she loves me. Today was one of those days.

I was sat here at the kitchen table this afternoon, dicking around on the internet, when I heard a curious series of meows coming from the garden. Tiny, plaintive little cries that caused me to rise from my seat and go in search of their source.

It turned out that Loki, for reasons known only to her, was sat inside the empty laundry basket. Sadly meeping to herself.

"Baby!" I said. "What are you doing?" And I stroked her. She was so overjoyed that someone had found her (because she was, of course, terribly lost), and released her from her prison (there was a force field over the laundry basket!) that she leapt up and purred and mewed and was basically the happiest cat in the world.

So I left her and went back to my computer.

But then I heard that sad little meeping again. So I went to look for her, again. And this time she's in the flowerbed. Or, as she viewed it, lost in the wilderness.

And yes, I think we can see from this photo that there is madness at work here.

So, the same thing happens: I speak to and pet her, she becomes world's happiest and most rescued cat, I bugger off back to my computer.

AND SHE GOES AND SITS SOMEWHERE ELSE AND CRIES UNTIL I COME AND FETCH HER.

Seriously. What the hell. After this I lured her out into the garden proper and played with her. Turns out pears are good fun.

And then she found a good place to roost and became an epic sentinel cat again.

The end.

She is *adorable* and I want her! M's cats don't make noise, Valerie's cats both hiss and growl constantly. Loki seems much sweeter :)
